Class Descriptions:

Theatrical Makeup: In this one semester course, theatrical makeup students will learn beginning through advanced techniques of stage makeup design and application, including, but not limited to, old-age character, facial hair, 3-D effects and bald caps.  Students will apply makeup to themselves and classmates.  Students will act as makeup crew for the BHS Drama productions during the semester of enrollment.  This course is recommended for students interested in acting and/or students interested in aspects of technical theatre.

Costume Design & Technology:  The Costume Design & Technology student will be engaged in the study and development of technical theater design and skill associated with costuming.  Students will explore the principles and elements of costume design, figure drawing and costume rendering, characterization through costume choices, costume history and basic costume construction skills.  Students will fulfill requirements of script and character analysis, design development, and coordinate with other student designers.  Costume Design & Technology students will have the opportunity to serve as the wardrobe crew for BHS Drama productions during the course. 

Oral Communications:  Oral Communications is a semester long course designed to help you become a better communicator.  We will be studying everything from what communication is to actual public presentations.
