Class Description:

 The Self-Sufficiency Program (SSP Class) utilizes a Functional Curriculum concentrating on Life Skills throughout the day.  The focus of this program is on Vocational Training for all students in the class both on and off the Bentonville High School campus.  A few of the activities the students participate in are:

• Delivering newspapers at the beginning of each day to all classrooms in the North Building.
• They are helping BHS go "green" by collecting all recyclable materials throughout the week.
• They support athletic teams at BHS by washing, sorting and hanging practice and game uniforms.
• They launder Science Lab coats.
• They volunteer time each week at Helping Hands, Inc.
• Students in the class participate at job training sites throughout the city such as: Chick-fil-A, Harps, Lowes,and The  Community Thrift Store.
