Class Description:

AP World History is a course designed to prepare students for intermediate and advanced college courses by making demands similar to those in a full-year college survey course. In AP World History, students will develop a greater understanding of the evolution of global processes and contacts including interactions over time. This course highlights the nature of changes in international frameworks and their causes and consequences, as well as comparisons among major societies. Daily activities focus on mastery of a selective body of factual knowledge and the development of analytical skills required of advanced college students. Critical reading and writing skills are developed through the evaluation of primary and secondary sources, essays, and research assignments.
