Class Description:     Biology
Biology is a full-year course. Students will study 5 major areas of focus to include:

 

1.  Molecules & Cells                                 4. Ecology & Behavioral Relationships
2. Heredity & Evolution,                            5. Nature of Science
3. Classification & the Diversity of Life

 

Comprehensive special projects are assigned and dissection is also required. Students must have the study skills to do independent activities and higher level thinking skills to deal with abstract concepts.  Biology meets the graduation requirement for a life science credit and is a core requirement for graduation. Students will be required to take an End of Course exam to show proficiency in these Biology concepts.

3. Classification & the Diversity of Life
 
Semester course for students that did not pass the Biology End of Course Exam.  We will cover the five major areas of Biology in a condensed manner.  For each major area of study, students will complete a pre-test, in class work, and a post-test.
