Welcome to Mrs. Pledger's First Grade Class!

Hello!  Welcome to my website that hopefully will help keep you updated with what is going on in first grade and specificaly my classroom!  This is my first year to have a website so please be patient with me in my attempt to keep it up and running!!! 

This is my 3rd year at Cooper, I was lucky enough to be here when we opened, and it is my 8th year teaching.  I was born and raised in Arkansas and I have my master's degree from the University of Arkansas.  My favorite thing to do when I'm not at school is to hang out at the lake with my family who includes: my husband Jason, my 2 year old daughter Andie, and my chocolate lab Koda.

I am looking forward to making this school year a great year for your child!  It is my goal that your child feels safe and loved each day and is in a rich learning environment.

Things to keep in mind...

  • Labeling your child's items!  Please make sure to put your child's name on their things!  Backpacks, jackets, coats, lunchboxes, etc.  Lost and found items will go to Helping Hands at the end of every month.
  • Wear appropriate shoes!  Remember that our playground has mulch, so wearing sandles and flip flops can be a problem during recess.
