Class Description: 

In this full-year course seventh graders will master the skills needed to write competent narrative, descriptive, and expository pieces. They also will demonstrate an understanding of standard English, including usage, mechanics, and sentence structure. Students will employ proper research and strong vocabulary in their writing and reading processes. Students are expected to become independent readers. They will examine literature through in-depth literary analysis and frequent writing.
