Class Description: Spanish I is a full year course designed to enhance development and understanding of the language by studying increasingly complex topics involving the use of more sophisticated language structures, grammar tenses, and vocabulary.

Specific objectives will include:

§  Students will spend classroom time in Spanish
§  Students will read Spanish advertisements, magazine articles, newspapers, and short stories
§  Students will compose basic expository paragraphs in Spanish
§  Students will use Spanish to handle basic survival situations
