Class Description:  Chemistry is a two semester course for students with at least sophormore standing and have successfully completed algebra.Students will study matter, the placement of elements on the periodic table as a function of their atomic number, chemical reactions, conversion of energy equations, scientific inquiry, problem solving, and how the basic principles of chemistry relate to other areas of science.  Students will engage in note taking, lecture, group work, research, writing, labority activities, mini labs and the use of techonology.  Students will be required to complete a major project/presentation each grading period.
