As October comes to an end and the colder months begin, please be sure your child has a jacket or sweater to bring to school.
The weather can change very quicly mid -day and going outside for Gross Motor Development immediately following lunch finds our little ones very anxious for eating and playtime.with friends. Being prepared is essential so that little time is wasted calling home for proper outerwear for school. Be sure to label clothing!

Letters and their sounds are being emphasized heavily the second quarter in kindergarten. Helping your child practice their phonics daily is very important as fluency and accuracy is key to a smooth transition into emergent reading.. Reveiwing a simple ABC chart with picture cues can be done effortlessly..Hopefully by December, your child will have rapid recall of printed letters and their sounds

As we study our numeral recognition through 20 , assisting your child with printing numerals and recognizing them out of order is very good practice.A calendar for just your kindergartener is great practice with recognizing numerals, counting, reading days of week and the month as well as  applying simple equations. Kindergarteners love to keep track of their time by writing notes about events.
