Welcome to Introduction to Medical Professions, Medical Terminology, and Human Behaviors & Disorders! 

Teacher: Ms. Anna B. McCain, MS, LAT

Class Description:

Introduction to Medical Professions is designed to give an insight to students regarding various medical professions. Topics covered include: educational requirements, legal and ethical issues facing the medical field, responsibilities of health care workers, and nutrition.

Medical Terminology will prepare students in learning the language used in the medical world. Topics covered include various body systems, research of medical illnesses, and proper pronunciation of the medical terms.
 
Human Behaviors & Disorders provides students with a general overview of psychology from the perspective of the health care community. Topics discussed include: the history of psychology, research methods, major theories, and application of knowledge to the problems and challenges faced by today’s health care professionals.
 
Each course above is a semester long and are based on the science of medicine.
