Nomination Information

Written nominations for consideration may be made by teachers, staff, parents, peers or self. Once the information is received, a profile will be developed, permissions secured, and screening will follow.

Screening criteria guidelines:

  • For 4th and 5th graders, Benchmark scores must be advanced in Literacy and Math
  • For 2nd and 3rd graders, SAT 10 scores must be in the 8th or 9th stanines in both Reading and Math
  • For all grades, scores on the cognitive abilities test given by a TREC facilitator must be in 95th percentile or above.

    If the screening scores fall within the guidelines, the student will move into full battery testing. If the scores do not meet the guidelines, the student may be considered again in a year. Students may only be tested once within a school year and must wait one year from the date of testing for test validity. We appreciate your time and serious consideration when nominating students.
