 About FBLA

 

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)-Phi Beta Lambda (PBL--college) is the largest student business organization in the country with over 250,000 members!  Membership in FBLA-PBL prepares students for "real world" professional experiences.  Network with students from all over the country!  It's not who you know, it's who knows you!  Through FBLA-PBL, you will make connections to the business world and form networks that will last a lifetime!

FBLA MISSION STATEMENT--to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership development programs.

What Are The Activities OF FBLA?

    Professional--provides members with a business connection for their future. Guest speakers, panel discussions, visits to business and industry, and shadowing experiences are used as instructional projects.

    Leadership--participation in FBLA activities as a member, committee chairperson, or officer provides experiences that contribute to the development of a positive self-image and a feeling of accomplishment.

    Community--chapter activities that make a contribution to the community provide members with the opportunity to develop civic pride and responsiblity.

    Service--the main purpose of service projects is to help others.  Arkansas FBLA sponsors state service projects.  Over $85,000 is raised annually for March of Dimes, Arkansas Children's Hospital, and Make-a-Wish.

SHIIP Community Service Project (Senior Medicare) Training will be held from 4 to 5 on October 6 in Room 302. Sign up now and be there! See Ms. Sooter or Mr. Mackey!! The SHIIP Event will take place Saturday, October 29, 2011, in the BHS N E-Library.

​The event will be all day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Please tell all senior citizens we will be available that day to assist them with their Medicare Part D decision making.

State Leadership Conference and Competition April 3-5, 2011, in Little Rock. We will leave BHS on Sunday, April 3, at 1:45 p.m. and return to BHS on Tuesday, April 5, by 10 p.m.

Please remember only one suitcase per student; you may take a backpack and pillow.  Don't forget to take business attire for 2 days, jeans and FBLA BHS t-shirt, and food money for the 3 days we are gone.  See Ms. Sooter, Mr. Greenway, or Mr. Mackey if...
