Important Announcement:

Final recommendations of the 2020 Task Force were presented to the Board of Education at its Oct. 15th regular meeting. A print report was given to the Board and that print report is available for all members of the Task Force to have. Those who attended the board meeting received their individual copies. Other members should email Kay Jacoby to request a copy. Additionally, engraved paper weights were given to the Task Force members at the conclusion of the full report. We want everyone who served to have one as a token of appreciation for your attendance and diligence in doing this very important work and in determining the final recommendations. Please contact Kay about getting yours. I’m happy to bring it by your office or home. Jeff Johnson spoke about the Upgrades to Existing Facilities subcommittee work/recommendations.. Susie Poindexter spoke about the Calendar subcommittee work/recommendations, and Kim Mertes spoke about the Second High School subcommittee work/recommendations. Kay spoke about Grade Configuration and Additional Schools. Steve made the introductory comments. This will all make sense once you view the table of contents in the full report.

The Board will begin to consider the recommendations at their quarterly work session scheduled for Oct. 25th from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Administration Building. Please plan to come to that meeting if your schedule allows as they may have questions about your work.

It was a pleasure getting to know each of you over the time we worked together; Steve and I enjoyed working with you as you considered some difficult, but very important matters related to the future of this district.
